"We were punk, before punk. We were new wave before new wave. We were metal, before metal. We were even MC before Hammer."
- Rob Tyner (1944-1991), MC5.

"Americans want grungy people, stabbing themselves in the head on stage. They get a bright bunch like us, with deodorant on, they don't get it.”
- Liam Gallagher, Oasis.

"If it has more than three chords, it's jazz."
- Lou Reed, The Velvet Underground.

"That's why I do this music business thing, it's communication with people without having the extreme inconvenience of actually phoning anybody up."
- Morrissey

"One chord is fine. Two chords and you're pushing it. Three chords and you're into jazz"

Vilket förstås är så mycket bättre.
